BENJAMIN ABRAMS | PRINCIPAL

Benjamin Abrams, as the founding member of MAPS Realty manages all aspects of the development process. His multifaceted real estate career spans in excess of fifteen years covering brokerage, lending and acquisitions with an emphasis on ground-up apartment and mixed-use development.

Prior to establishing MAPS Realty, Benjamin worked for a major Western U.S. engineering and entitlement firm for four years as their Director of Real Estate Investments. During his tenure, he was instrumental in building-out their multifamily and mixed-use development division into one of the most prominent firm’s in Los Angeles. They focused on luxury infill, high walk-score and transit oriented developments. Benjamin oversaw four projects containing 224 units and participated in the life-cycle of the investments. His work included Acquisitions, Investment Analysis/Due Diligence, Capital Stack (Equity/Debt), Legal Document Review, Entitlements, Schedule & Budget Management, Lease-Up, Asset Management, Disposition and Investor Relations. All projects were completed on time and on budget.

Earlier in Benjamin’s career, he served as the Investment Manager for a commercial development, investment, brokerage, advisory and turn-around specialist firm whom developed 2.5M square feet of institutional quality real estate.
